Biography

Shantelle Canzanese was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, but has traveled and lived in cities such as Los Angeles, in order to pursue a career in the arts and follow the opportunities she has been given.

Shantelle has expressed a love for acting, singing and dancing since her childhood. At the tender age of four, Shantelle played her first role as the Virgin Mary. Although nothing could possibly beat this non-speaking role, at the age of fifteen she auditioned for Wexford C.I., a high school for the performing arts. There, Shantelle gained life-changing experiences that made her realize that acting was her calling. After graduating with the drama award, she decided to turn her passion for acting into a career. She went on to study a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting at the University of Windsor to further her performance skills.

Now, Shantelle has over ten years experience in the Industry, working in film, television, theatre, modeling, print ads, voice-overs, hosting, and web series. She is a versatile performer and has the kind of drive that is necessary for success. Her strengths in sketch, improv and physical comedy make her a very unique talent. Shantelle has had the opportunity to teach at Wexford C.I., where her passion for teaching drama and directing came alive. She is also an improv Instructor and has studied at the famed Second City Conservatory in Toronto. She has studied on camera acting classes with Lewis Baumander in Toronto and Toni Attell and Stephen Book in Los Angeles.

Along with all of these strengths, Shantelle has a fabulous singing voice. Having studied with several vocal coaches over the past several years, her musical focus is in musical theatre and rhythm and blues.

When Shantelle is not busy with the entertainment world, she enjoys playing the role of professional makeup artist. When inspired, she also enjoys writing.
