In the summer of 2011, I got a really cool job doing promotional videos for Bounce.  I will never forget the audition.  I was asked to perform two improvised scenes, one where I was on a date at a restaurant and had brought my own bounce dryer sheets with me (I had to use them for something during the date) and the other was at a coffee shop, where my mission was to pay with the dryer sheets.  Just for future reference, if you ever bring your dryer sheets to dinner with you and use them to wipe your mouth, you will get a rash around your lips (but you will certainly smell fresh)

The concept of these videos was to play different characters while targeting unsuspecting people on the street in order to promote the product in a fun and unique way.  A chance to act like a crazy person in public...that's kind of the norm for me!

The first video we shot was an introductory video with myself "the bar girl" and another actress, "the sheet girl".  Originally they were looking to cast a blonde actress, so my options were to bleach my hair, which we all know can be pricey and a disaster when going back to brown after the shoot, or wear awlful Avril Lavigne like extensions.  Well, of course I picked the extensions, which I think you'll find very flattering in the video.

We did some green screen work in the studio with a few folded t-shirts and a dryer as props and then hit Queen street for some fun with random strangers.  I might have seemed a little crazy when yelling out things like, "Bounce saved my life", but for those of you who are familiar with Queen west, know that I had no problems fitting in, unlike my grade school years.

Note:  None of the people in this video are actors.  They're the real deal and we have signed waivers to prove it!  In fact, I'm still looking for the prince charming who kissed my hand through the streetcar window.

Wheel of Fortune

I recently shot a promo video for Telus. It was a "Wheel of Fortune" spoof for internal use. I played Vanna White in her early days of course with a gentleman named Ted Bisaillion, who played Pat Sajak. They changed our names to Matt and Hanna and put me in a bright, blonde wig (I now know I can never be a blonde) and a hideous, yet perfect purple gown. I gained an extra ten pounds worth of fake diamonds that day, which is always nice.

Word on the Street

Sometimes it seems like there's not many comedy auditions out there, so when this project came along I was excited that it was in sketch comedy format. Each episode was only a few minutes in length and each actor had the opportunity to play several different characters, which is always good for an actor's demo reel.

Blind Date

I remember getting the script for this commercial and the casting director was looking for someone who could speak really fast, ramble on while improvising, and who could be a disaster date. For the people who personally know me....I don't need to say much more!
